We want you to be a part of our Little team!
Little by Little is growing—and we’re looking for passionate, imaginative educators to grow with us. In July 2026, we’ll open the doors to our new preschool campus in downtown Raleigh: a bright, joyful space designed for play, curiosity, connection, and community. Now, we’re searching for the teachers who will bring that vision to life.
Our program is rooted in child-led exploration, Finnish-inspired early education, and the belief that teachers are the heartbeat of a school. If you’re an educator who thrives in a supportive, creative, collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you.
Why teach at Little by Little?
-
We believe teachers should have the freedom to create environments that reflect their teaching style and the children they serve. At our new campus, you’ll have the chance to:
Help design your classroom layout
Select materials and create learning invitations
Establish rhythms, routines, and rituals that feel authentic to you
Your classroom isn’t handed to you—it’s built with you.
-
Our curriculum is collaborative, flexible, and deeply rooted in play. Teachers contribute ideas, create experiences based on their interests, and work together to build meaningful learning pathways.
Whether your strengths lie in storytelling, movement, music, science, art, outdoor education, or quiet connection, there is space here for you to infuse those talents into the classroom. Your passions become part of the children’s world.
-
At Little by Little, teachers are trusted as professionals and supported as humans. We believe that when educators feel valued, respected, and energized, children flourish.
Here’s what you can expect from our team culture:
Positive, collaborative relationships
Real planning time built into your week
Leadership that values your voice
A school environment that feels intentional & welcoming to all
A focus on connection—with children, families, and each other
We are proud to be a place where teachers love to work.
What Makes Little by Little Unique?
-
Our founders spent time in Finland studying world-renowned early childhood practices. That inspiration lives here—through child-centered learning, outdoor exploration, gentle routines, and a strong emphasis on social–emotional development.
-
Our school is not just a place for children—it’s a place for families. From Late Night Date Night childcare partnerships to wellness collaborations to our beloved Parent & Child programs, we create meaningful ways for the community to connect.
-
As we expand, we’re opening classrooms thoughtfully and intentionally. Being part of this new chapter means joining a team that is shaping the future of our program from day one.
